The Toronto Local shall be a unified, democratic organization of informed professionals which will anticipate and respond to the needs of its diverse membership, as well as advocate for children and public education.
ETT is committed to engaging and educating its members, advocating for public education through political action, and building meaningful connections within our communities. We work to strengthen our union’s internal structures while maintaining ongoing communication with the school board and trustees to ensure our members’ voices are heard and respected.
ETT serves approximately 11,000 elementary teachers (K-8) employed by the TDSB across more than 500 schools/sites. To reach such a large and diverse group, the organization works continuously to educate and inform, and provides a wide range of ongoing opportunities
